We highly encourage applications by students and postdocs. A limited number of oral presentation slots are reserved for students/postdocs and will be assigned on a competitive basis. In addition, research can be presented in poster form.

We expect to offer travel stipends to cover lodging and transportation costs on a competitive basis:

  • 5 students/postdocs will receive "CBSB12 Outstanding Young Researcher" awards that include a $450 travel stipend and additional $100 to cover the registration fee.
  • 15 students/postdocs will be selected to receive a $250 travel stipend and an extra $100 to cover their registration.
  • 20 additional students/postdocs will get a fellowship of $100 to cover their registration fee.
The 5 award students are expected to give award talks. Additional students will be selected for oral presentations.

Faculty and other interested researchers are also encouraged to apply. They will have the opportunity to present posters. Faculty and others will have to pay a registration fee of $100 ($150 onsite).

The registration fee is waived for scientists from Oak Ridge National National Laboratory, University of Tennessee at Knoxville and University of Oklahoma; invited speakers and recipients of the travel fellowships.

The registration deadline for applicants who want to present a poster or talk is April 18.
Notifications of poster/talk acceptances and travel stipend awards will be sent out by April 22.
Registration fee of $100 has to be received by May, 1st. After that the onsite rate of $150 applies.
